CONCEPTMost may think their closet is just a collection of garments and accessories, however, it is a reflection of identity and intention. As someone who loves fashion and sewing, my closet means so much to me. Through writing my own manifesto, I learned more about how my fashion choices guide my design choices. Work In Progress is a tactile exploration of personal style and self-expression through the lens of my closet.
APPROACHThis installation blends screenprinting with hand-stitched red thread, combining graphic design and textiles. Each piece features a printed phrase of my wardrobe manifesto that are completed by the red thread. This project encourages viewers to consider their own closets as more than fabric and function.
